A tense new UK trailer has arrived for horror film House at the End of the Street, starring Jennifer Lawrence andElizabeth Shue as mother and daughter. The pair move into a new house only to discover that a girl murdered her parents in the house next to theirs and when Elissa (Lawrence) gets close to the girl’s brother, she starts to uncover dark secrets surrounding the murder.Many may have been surprised when Jennifer Lawrence was cast as Katniss Everdeen in this year’s The Hunger Games – not because she didn’t have the talent to pull off such an iconic role but because the actress has tended to favour more indie/low-budget films like Winter’s Bone (which earned her an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress). Though Lawrence will be continuing as Katniss in three further Hunger Games films, it seems that with House at the End of the Street, she has returned to indie form.
