She was a relatively unknown actress when she was cast in the coveted role of Katniss Everdeen in the movie adaptation of Suzanne Collins' novel The Hunger Games.
But following the success of the first movie, Jennifer Lawrence is set to receive a stellar payrise to star in the film's sequel Catching Fire.
According to reports, instead of the $500,000 salary she received for the first movie, Jennifer, 21, will receive a staggering $10million to reprise her role as Katniss for the followup film
The Hollywood Reporter explained that the figure is a combination of 'salary, bonuses and escalators', but if the movie does well at the box office, Jennifer could earn significantly more than $10million.
The publication also revealed that while fellow Hunger Games stars Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth will also receive payrises, they are likely to be much less dramatic than Jennifer's.
Jennifer has signed a contract to appear in all four Hunger Games movies - the sequel Catching Fire and the final book Mockingjay, which is set to be split into two films.
Production on Catching Fire is set to begin in September, with a tentative release date slated for November 2013.
