Jennifer Lawrence has quickly become a commanding on-screen presence with starring roles in films like The Hunger Games and X-Men: First Class.
But the young actress says that her new film House at the End of the Street appealed to her because it left even her a little uncertain.
“I liked that there were so many twists with the characters,” Lawrence said, in an exclusive Celebuzz video. “You didn’t know who you could trust.”
What evil lurks in the House at the End of the Street? In the film, Lawrence plays a teenager who moves to a new town with her mother (played by Elizabeth Shue) only to discover that their new home is next to one where a girl murdered her parents several years before.Max Thierot plays the brother of the murderer. He and Lawrence’s character begin a furtive romance only to find more sinister and perhaps supernatural things afoot.
House at the End of the Street opens nationwide on September 21.
Lawrence hopes the film haunts audiences as much as it did her: “I hope this gets people scared.”
