You just don’t want to mess with District 2. A day after Meta Golding landed the role of the fearsome District 2 champion Enobaria in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, Lionsgate announced today that actor Bruno Gunn (Bad Teacher, FX’s Sons of Anarchy) has been cast as fellow District 2 victor Brutus. Like his fellow career tribute Enobaria, Brutus signs up for the 75th annual Hunger Games, a.k.a. Quarter Quell, which pits former winners against each other, including Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) and Peeta (Josh Hutcherson). And like his fallen District 2 brother Cato from The Hunger Games, Brutus becomes one of the arena’s most lethal competitors. Just look at the guy.
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire will begin shooting later this year with director Francis Lawrence (I Am Legend). It’s due to open on Nov. 22, 2013.
