Jennifer Lawrence to start filming 'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire' movie soon

It seems that when it comes to shooting the next round in the film adaptation of “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire,” there is no time to lose.
Just as the sequel novel quickly follows the events that happen in the first installment of the bestselling book trilogy by Suzanne Collins, so too are the first stages of filming being prepared for “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” movie. In recent news, actress Jennifer Lawrence was seen this weekend meeting with director Francis Lawrence to get ready to shoot “Catching Fire” late this summer.

Filming for ‘Catching Fire’ movie may start even earlier this season than expected
“Catching Fire,” the second book in the series and sequel to “The Hunger Games,” adds a new twist to the deadly survival tournament this time around. With the arrival of the 75th Annual Hunger Games, so too comes the Third Quarter Quell, a special event made by the cruel Gamemakers that forces previous district tribute winners to fight against one another.
In a recent sighting posted this Sunday afternoon by “Hollywood Hills,” Jennifer Lawrence—who plays the bow-wielding District 12 tribute Katniss Everdeen in the films—was spotted with director Francis Lawrence in California getting ready for “Catching Fire” filming.
While “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” filming was reported to start sometime in early fall or late summer, many fans thought the news meant later than sooner. No confirmed date has been given yet when shooting will officially begin, but it now looks like the odds are in summer’s favor.
The second movie adaptation will be filmed in several different locations, including Atlanta, Georgia, and Maui, Hawaii. The other main cast stars—Josh Hutcherson (starring as Peeta Mellark), Liam Hemsworth (cast as Gale Hawthorne) as well as Jennifer Lawrence, of course—are all expected to reprise their roles for the upcoming film.
While the casting part of Finnick Odair is still up in the air, new rumors now point to a specific actress being considered for the role of mean girl tribute, Johanna Mason. With filming on the studio set looking to start very soon, it’s only a matter of time before Johanna, Finnick, and other character roles are cast.
As always, the waiting seems to be the hardest part. After the great success of both "The Hunger Games" book and movie, no doubt that "Catching Fire" is not far behind.
