Baftas 2014: Jennifer Lawrence wins best supporting actress for American Hustle

The 2014 Bafta for best supporting actress has gone to Jennifer Lawrence for her role in American Hustle.

Lawrence was unable to attend the ceremony due to filming commitments, but the prize was received on her behalf by the film's director, David O Russell. He read acceptance speech in which Lawrence thanked her fellow actors, writers and the director himself and celebrated the opportunity to enact "heartbreak, romance, rebirth, music and life".

She beat the much-fancied Lupita Nyong'o, who was nominated for her role in 12 Years a Slave. The award was presented by Leonardo DiCaprio who said he "was completely blown away" by the talent in the category.

'AMERICAN Hustle' star Jennifer Lawrence is set to sign a multimillion dollar deal with Dior for a three-year partnership.

The Mockingjay is reading Mockingjay

They have lately been pictured out together, sparking rumours that their romance is back on.

And Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult certainly acted like they had something to celebrate on Tuesday.

The Oscar winning actress, 23, was seen drinking champagne right out the bottle while lounging with the About A Boy actor, also 23, in La Fontaine Park in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

The duo spent much of their time reading their books, with Jennifer reading Mocking Jay, the final installment of The Hunger Games in which the actress stars in the film version as heroine Katniss Everdeen.

The couple seemed completely at ease with each other, as Jennifer lay with her head on Nicholas' stomach as the pair appeared engrossed in their books.

Jennifer dressed casually in shorts, a black top and a plaid shirt tied around her waist, topping off her look with a jaunty black hat.

Nicholas, meanwhile, donned orange shorts and a sleeveless maroon vest, shielding his eyes with black shades.

The couple - who recently reunited after ending their two year relationship in January - appeared to confirm their reconciliation as they arrived arm-in-arm for the wrap party of their new movie, X-Men: Days of Future Past, in Montreal, Canada.

A source previously revealed that the duo, who remained friends during their time apart, decided to give their romance another chance after spending time together on the set of the movie, which began filming in April.

A source previously set: "They started the shoot in April as just friends and then one day they started kissing. One thing lead to another and they hooked up. All her old feelings came rushing back. Jennifer has been telling people she's in love again."

The 23-year-old Oscar-winning actress previously gushed about her love for the British actor, 23.

She said: "He is honestly my best friend, and hopefully I'm his best friend, too ... I love being around him and he makes me laugh harder than anybody."

Jennifer Lawrence: High fashion for new 'Hunger Games'

Even though it was only a year ago, Jennifer Lawrence has come a long way since Hunger Games.

And so has Katniss Everdeen, as shown in this new promo photo for Hunger Games: Catching Fire.

The photos are part of The Capitol Couture website,notes MSN, which debuted in January 2012, and is "run" by the fictitious Capitol from the films.

On the Capitol Facebook page, you can see Effie Trinket (Elizabeth Banks) sporting golden horseshoe platforms and an Alexander McQueen dress, and Cinna (Lennie Kravitz) decked out in black leather, along with Haymitch (Woody Harrelson), Caesar (Stanley Tucci) and other characters striking poses.

The movie is set for release in November.
